As the event creator or host, how can I change the people invited to the event?

This feature is only available to the creator of the event. First, logon to InOrOut, then navigate to the page for your event either through the My Events page or by clicking on the event link provided in the invitation or RSVP reminder emails. Click the Edit Invited Guests button at the top. This page will allow you to edit, add and delete the guests invited to your event.

How do I stop receiving email notifications when guests RSVP or comment?

Go to your event's page by clicking on the link provided in the RSVP or invitation email.  Even if you have already chosen your status for the event, click on either In, Out or Maybe.  After choosing your status, a list of options will open allowing you to change your email notification options.  Change your notification options and click Submit.  If your status is Out, you automatically will not receive guest comments or RSVP notifications.

How can I add a picture to my profile?

We do not have this feature yet, but will be adding it in the near future!

How can I send a message to all guests?

This feature is only available to the creator of the event. First, logon to InOrOut, then navigate to the page for your event either through the My Events page or by clicking on the event link provided in the invitation or RSVP reminder emails. Once on the event page, click on the Send Message to All Guests button.

What is an event quota and how does it work?

Many of our users have events that require a minimum number of people and would like to be notified if the minimum has not been met.  The event quota is this minimum number of people that have to select IN for the event to take place.  For example, a full game of basketball requires 10 people.  In this case, the event creator might set the event quota at 10.  An email will be automatically sent to the group if less than 10 people have replied IN.  By choosing to have an event quota, the event creator must also choose the time the event quota email is automatically sent.  The default setting for this quota email is 6 hours before the event. 

How can I change my email address and password?

In order to change your password, first sign in to InOrOut.  Click on the Account button in the upper right-hand corner and choose My Profile.  At the bottom of the page, click the link that says "Change your password" and follow the instructions.  InOrOut does not currently allow you to change your email address.  This feature is coming soon.

How can I invite my Facebook friends?

This functionality is not yet available with InOrOut, but is coming soon!

Can I customize the reminder time for my event?

Yes, InOrOut allows you to customize the time when an RSVP email gets sent.  You will find this functionality in the More Options section when creating or editing an event.  However, should you not customize this feature, InOrOut will automatically send an RSVP reminder two days before any single event.  For recurring events, the RSVP reminders are sent out as follows

  • Yearly Events: 1 month before the event
  • Monthly Events: 2 days before the event
  • Weekly Events: 2 days before the event
  • Daily Events: 12 hours before the event

How do I edit my event?

This feature is only available to the creator of an event. First, logon to InOrOut, then navigate to the page for your event either through the My Events page or by clicking on the event link provided in the invitation or RSVP reminder emails. Once on the event page, click on the Edit Event button.

How can I upload my own image for my profile?

We are working on this feature and it will be available soon!

How do I delete an event?

This feature is only available to the creator of an event.  Navigate to the page for your event either through the My Events page or by clicking on the event link provided in the invitation or RSVP reminder emails.  Once on the event page, click on the Delete This Event button and follow the instructions.   

What if I want to bring someone with me to the event?

A non-invited guest is someone you bring with you to the event that has not been invited by the event creator.  You first must select either IN or MAYBE for your event status.  After clicking on IN or MAYBE, a menu will appear allowing you to choose "Additional Guest(s)".  Enter the number of non-invited guests you will be bringing to the event.  This number does not include you.  If you and two guests will be attending the event, you should enter 2 in the guest(s) field.

If are OUT for an event, you may not add guests. 

How can I remove myself from an event?

The event creator cannot be removed from an event. Anyone other than the event creator must navigate to the event page either through the My Events page or by clicking on the event link provided in the invitation or RSVP reminder emails. Just above the Maybe button, click on the text that says "Remove Me From Event" and follow the instructions.

Can I save contacts to InOrOut to invite them to later events?

InOrOut allows you to create and save a group of contacts for use later with other InOrOut events. One way to do this is while creating your event for the first time. Once you have added all the members to your group, click on the checkbox in the lower-left that says "Save this group in your InOrOut My Groups for user later." Enter a name for your group and click the Continue button. Your group will automatically be saved to your InOrOut My Groups. Another way to create and save a group is through the My Groups page. Once you are logged in, click the Account button in the upper right-hand corner of the site and select My Groups. Click the Add Group button to begin the process.

I edited the guests invited to my event, but I don't see my changes for that group in the My Groups page. Why not?

We created InOrOut My Groups to allow our users to save group contact information and then import that information for use with future events.  When you create an InOrOut group, that information is exported to the My Groups page and is not linked or connected to the particular event.   

How do I import contacts from a saved InOrOut Group?

When creating a group, click on the My Groups tab.  If you're not signed in, please enter your InOrOut email address and password.  The list of your saved groups will appear.  Put a check box next to the saved group you'd like to add to your new group and click Add Contact(s). 

Why am I not receiving InOrOut emails in my inbox?

It is possible that your InOrOut emails have been placed in your spam folder.  To ensure this does not happen, please add no-reply@inorout.com to your contacts and/or add this email address to your safe senders list.

How can I report a bug or give InOrOut feedback?

Please send an email to info@inorout.com.  We are working on our InOrOut community forum and hope to have this up and running soon.  If you're reporting a bug, be sure to tell us which internet browser you're using (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc.) and what you did to cause the bug.  Please be specific.  It helps us fix your issues quicker!

How can I access InOrOut on my cell phone?

Please visit www.inorout.com.  We are working on a mobile version of the site as well as a smartphone app.  We hope to have these available soon.
